I was born in Detroit, Michigan and earned a B. While in Chicago I was an active volunteer at Gay and Lesbian Horizons, doing a number of things including peer counseling as well as teaching gay sensitivity to new recruits of the Chicago Police Department. For a time, I was also the co-chair of the Illinois Gay and Lesbian Task Force. When my mother fell ill, I returned to Michigan for a couple of years and served as a board member of the Michigan Organization for Human Rights, as well as the MOHR Foundation. With a small group of friends, we founded Affirmations, a community center for lesbians and gays, which has since moved to Ferndale, Michigan, and has grown enormously. Eventually, I returned to Chicago to form Overlooked Opinions, the first national opinion polling firm specializing in the gay and lesbian community. For nearly a decade, Overlooked Opinions' ground breaking research was cited in virtually every major market publication in the US and Canada, as well as across five continents, promoting understanding and visibility for gay men and lesbian women worldwide. While at Overlooked Opinions, I also wrote Changing Scenes, a monthly column for the Chicago Chapter of the American Marketing Association. During that time I was also also lucky enough to be named one of Chicago's top 40 businessmen under the age of 40 by Crain's Chicago Magazine. I now live part of the year in Riviera Nayarit, Mexico, and the rest of the year in a small town near Grand Rapids, Michigan. I share my home with five wolfdog hybrids and am an avid nature lover who enjoys regular jaunts into the jungles of Mexico and the woodlands of Michigan. The Disciples of Goedric Trilogy is my first serious foray into the world of writing fiction. It started as a waking dream on the rowing machine and evolved into an epic tale spanning three volumes: Gay Gene Rising, Guardians of the Blood and SoulFire and Tears.
